Northern Spain’s vast swathes of old Garnacha bush vines are consistently the source of some of the high street’s best value reds, and this example, based on 30 to 50-year-old vines from Cariñena in Aragón, is certainly one such: a big, bright, hit of berry fruit and sweet paprika with easy-on-the-tongue tannins.
