Bideona has only been going for six years, but the bodega has already made a big impression with a set of unforced wines based on old Alavesa vines. For this bargain red, the Tempranillo vines are old (50 years on average, with some as old as 100 years) but the wine is vibrantly young and juicy-sappy: it’s full of just-off-the-bush cherry, mulberry and plum.
