Intense, layered toastiness, showcasing charred oak, molasses, burnt caramel and black pepper; cocoa nibs, crunchy black cherry and toasted walnuts add nuance. Really elegant, with the long finish offsetting the slight hollow mid-palate. Very alluring if allowed to open in the glass. Lots of structure and potential to age in bottle.
