Bodegas Ojuel, Oxuel Fuente de León Garnacha Blanca, Rioja, 2019

After recovering supurao, a traditional sweet wine made from dehydrated grapes, Miguel Martínez has continued to explore the high-altitude vineyards of Sierra de Moncalvillo. This limited release (just over 600 bottles from a single 500-litre barrel) sourced from clay-dominant soils was fermented with 30% skins. There is something wild about the wine, with dried herbs, white fruit and a nice tension on the palate.
