Unsurprisingly, this is a steady favourite among The Wine Society members, offering great valued and guaranteed satisfaction. The use of wood is very accomplished and the alcohol is very integrated, for a good compromise between traditional and modern Rioja. Plum, red apple and cranberry dominate the palate, supported by elegant tannins. Good persistence with a streak of smoke and prune.
