This parcel from Rioja Alta is 100% Graciano sourced from 35-year-old vines and matured for 12 months in French oak casks. It has plenty of freshness in both its juicy red fruits and high acidity, with some baked strawberry and spice complexity then a flourish of herbs at the end. Although vertical and pretty, the fruit does seem to be all front-loaded, leaving the mid-palate lacking.
