Golden-yellow in the glass and opening onto ripe pineapple and white peach, underpinned by notes of toast and vanilla. The palate sweeps silkily through, leaving lingering flavours of honeysuckle, acacia and jasmine in its wake. It’s a rich and complex wine, oily and full-bodied, and the oak is certainly present and quite flashy, but there's restraint in the mineral acidity and zesty lemon finish. The top end of the Ramón do Casar range, this is Treixadura fermented in French oak. A sophisticated, classy glass of wine that would excel with food, especially sole in lemon butter with fresh peas.
