Baron Amarillo is Aldi's Spanish wine brand, with this Rioja now promoted from Specially Selected to Winemaster's Lot status. Still fresh and bright, strawberries, spice and vanilla oak are well integrated on the smooth, supple palate. Online only. The 2019 Specially Selected Ribera del Duero (£7.99) is leaner and more structured but also well priced.
