A really interesting new sparkling addition to the Tesco range, that's worth spending £12 on, as the aromas have a nice almond paste and jasmine blossom suggestion to them, yet the palate is dry. It's an appetite-inducing fizz, with very fine bubbles, soft and accommodating. Notes of glazed pastry, warm citrus, almond skin and a mouthfilling wave of freshness. Made in the traditional method, with second fermentation in bottle and then 18 months ageing on its lees.
