Bodegas Ramón Bilbao, Reserva, Rioja, Spain, 2015

Aged for 20 months in American oak barriques, this Rioja has fine, structured tannins that support a balanced and rounded palate. Black fruit is layered with spice, leather and coffee on the palate; preceded by harmonious aromas of black and red berries with vanilla and sweet coconut oak. With good freshness, this is drinking well now, but will certainly evolve further in bottle.
