Les Celliers de Vétroz, Syrah, Valais, Switzerland, 2016

This 100% Syrah has a youthful nose of ripe blackberries jam, dates and black plums on top of licorice, coconut and coffee powder with a touch of mint. Ripe cherry and prunes dusted with black pepper and star anise. Tannins are ripe and fine-grained, with a good level of elegance to refresh, followed by a dark fruit finish. Alcohol at 13.5% leaves a warm sensation on the gums.
