This is Langham Estate's first sparkling wine made using 100% Pinot Noir, sourced from the estate's own single vineyard. The base wine is 100% fermented in barrel and has been through malolactic fermentation, without filtration and fining. Zero dosage with relatively low bottle pressure, this Blanc de Noir from Dorset features a refreshing nose of sea salt-seasoned red berry, red apple and citrus. Though the acidity sits high up at 9.5g/l, the palate is crisp but by no means hard-edged, with a textured palate of charming salinity, roasted nuts and red fruits. More oxidative depth emerges as the wine gets warmer in the glass - enjoyable even when the bubbles disappear.
