Behind this simplistic label is a surprisingly good Pinot Noir. By California standards it is very pale and refreshingly dry, but the palate is quite concentrated, packed with red cherry-berry and vanilla spice flavours. The 2022 Specially Selected Australian Pinot (£7.49) is equally good – light-coloured yet rich too.
