A rich, full-bodied, explosive wine with a super dark profile of pristine, ripe blackberry and boysenberry fruits. The tannins are pronounced but have a polish and refinement, gliding the overall experience to a lasting, spicy finish marked by saline minerals and intensely perfumed violets. The freshness is impressive, considering it was harvested after the heat wave. Perhaps the heat on the finish is the only marker of the vintage, but it’s a welcome, spicy, herbaceous heat and not alcohol burn. It's a real standout. This 100% Cabernet is a heritage clone selection from the estate Poetry Vineyard in Stags Leap District. Aged in Sylvain Collection barrels and crafted by winemaker Christopher Tynan. Tasting wine like this, you’d think the vintage was flawless. Release: April 2025. (Barrel sample tasted at Premiere Napa Valley)
