This Monterey County bottling comes from sites in Zabala in Arroyo Seco, on ancient Salina River riverbed, one of the older sites in the region, planted in 1972 85% and the rest coming from the SLH site of Highlands Ranch, it’s fuly destemmed,  with manual punchdowns, made in a basket press, it sees 14 months in 15% new French oak. It’s a fruit-forward bottling that benefits from the minerality of the Zabala site and the crisp saline notes that come naturally in the SLH. Savoury garrigue notes buoy the core of red sweet berries.
