At 20 years of age, the 2004 Groth Cabernet offers warm berry fruit with fantastic richness, featuring saline-scented red and black cherry, spiced plums, and crushed rock minerality that carries through to the long, vibrant finish. It is a truly invigorating wine with great depth and concentration. Sampled during a vertical tasting of Groth wines (1982–2022) in early 2024 with proprietor Dennis Groth. The winemaker in 2004 was Michael Weis.
