In 1981, Lee Hudson purchased land in Napa Valley's Carneros region. Armed with a passion for wine and knowledge of the techniques used in Burgundy, he set off to plant the best match for this soils. This Grenache-driven masterpiece is proof of his skills: at 90% Grenache, 9% Syrah and 1% Viognier, this wine delivers richness, charisma and spice. At first glance there are notes of crushed bramble, black pepper and grapefruit peel, then on the palate there's a generous handshake between juice and bold tannins. This is an ace up the sleeve when it comes to your Thanksgiving meal - enjoy it with a slow-braised leg of lamb or roasted turkey with a crispy skin.
