Natural Cork

The 1996 Profile was sourced from Beckstoffer-owned vines, Slawson (a Bond property), Thorevilos, Amizetta, Poe, Thompson, Napanook (Dominus), and Campbell. Fermented in stainless steel and aged for 22 months in 50% new French oak, it was made by Bob Levy. Bold, ripe, full-throttle, and richly tannic as of December 2025, this is a wine of real power and presence. Lovely fruit emerges, redolent of cassis and fig, layered with spiced plum and violets, all grounded in rich, loamy earth. Intense black tea–like tannins frame the palate, while blood orange–driven acidity brings lift and energy, carrying the wine through a mineral-rich finish marked by tremendous freshness. Tasted as part of a 37-vintage vertical at the winery in December 2025.
