This wine comes from the Double L estate site, planted back in the late 1990s, these were some of the earlier sites in this part of the SLH appellation. This wine is spiced and reflects the warmer appellation, it sees 33% new French oak, for 10 months. It's a mix of six clones, with notes of nutmeg and baking spice on the nose, and ripe tones of baked apple and macerated peaches. The palate is honeyed, fleshy melon fruits, ripe peaches and and a touch buttery with a full bodied palate.
