This is a barrel selection from roughly 1,000 barrels, meticulously narrowed down to just 70 of the top lots in the cellar. Sourced from Home Ranch, Green Acres, and Buchli Vineyard, this 100% Chardonnay is aged for eight months in a mix of American and predominantly French oak barrels, with 55% new oak. Wow—so fresh, so exciting. It bursts with beautifully bright lime and grapefruit citrus, lifted by lime blossom and white floral notes. Beneath that vibrancy lies a fantastically rich, deeply flavoured core of citrus-spiced, saline-driven intensity, layered with candied ginger and brown baking spices. A toasty richness lingers in such a pleasurable way that it’s genuinely hard to resist. It’s even harder to put the glass down—this bottle will be gone in no time. The Rombauer wines are crafted by Richie Allen, Andrew Holloway, and Luke Clayton, who have been making these wines together for the past 16 years.
