Produced by husband-and-wife team Peter Hunken and Amy Christine MW, this shows the pedigree of the Santa Rita Hills region in producing exemplary cool-climate Chardonnay. It’s produced from a 0.4ha block planted on thin, exposed soil with diatomaceous earth. Aged for 11 months in neutral French oak. Ronan Sayburn MS: Tinned peaches and ripe nectarines on the nose; mandarin, yellow flowers and oyster shell, seaweed. Very good, very long. Eugenio Egorov: Interesting ripe nose of apple, lemon and mandarin with a touch of honeycomb. Great acidity with hints of apple, lemon zest and flowers. Ben Gubbins: Classic vanilla, butter, ripe lemon, peach, canteloupe melon. Good acidity to liven it up. A really enjoyable wine.
