This is a wine of tension and power from a site high on the west-facing slopes surrounding Seneca Lake. The grapes are whole-cluster pressed and fermented on native yeasts in neutral barrels to deliver citrus and saline aromas that jump from the glass, and an electric green acidity that runs through the wine, balanced by three grams per litre residual sugar. Refreshingly crisp and vibrant, the wine is still balanced enough to remain silky and very elegant.
