The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc by Ryan William Vineyard is grown in the Finger Lakes but smells straight out of New Zealand. Made with estate fruit from the Banana Belt, the grapes reached heightened ripeness and richer flavours than may be expected of New York. The wine is loaded with notes of fresh-cut grass, cracked white pepper, green pears and guava. A striking take on Sauvignon Blanc in the Finger Lakes.
