From the third vineyard planting in all of the Willamette Valley by Dick Erath in 1969, this Pinot Noir comes from a young block, of 115 clone. It's aged 9 months in 40% new French oak, a fleshy wine coming from the cooler 2022 vintage, one that challenged ripeness in the Valley, this eastern Chehalem Mountain location is a touch warmer, helping keep frost at bay and making ripeness attainable. There;s ample structure here to frame the opulent Oregon blackberries and sweet cherry tones.
