This Syrah offers everything you’d want from the iconic Rocks District terroir. The Naravane site was planted in The Rocks in 2016, so the vines are beginning to mature, producing more intense and sauvage wines as a result. The aromatics are so showy, with struck-iron, smoked soy sauce, and singed-violet elegance. Northern Rhône lovers will swoon upon opening. The palate is lithe, with wonderfully integrated tannin. Whisps of gravel dust, intense black plums, briny black olives and charred game. Wild sage and charred lavender lift the intensity of the Rocks terroir with a wonderful feral refinement.
