From seventh-generation Paso Robles farmers with grape-growning roots dating back to 1884, this Viognier reflects both heritage and site. Sourced from the estate’s “shade block,” where vines are protected from late afternoon sun, the nose is classic Viognier with lifted aromatics and honeyed notes. The palate is also,honeyed and fruit-driven, opening with citrus zest before moving into green fruits such as apples and pears, then generous layers of tropical fruits, plus wet stone. A brighter-than-expected acidity keeps the richness in check, giving the wine balance and clarity. Ripe and full, this wine embraces what it is: unapologetically Viognier.
