One of Virginia's old guard, Rockbridge has twice won the Governor's Cup – the first time in 1995 for its 1994 Vd’Or. Pronounced vuh-DOOR, this cryogenic ice wine (freshly picked grapes are put in a freezer not frozen on the vine) is sweet with pear, honeysuckle, apricot and pineapple. Traminette gives spice and Vignoles provides sturdy backbone to the 50% Vidal. Ideal to pair with pungent cheese.
