Robust and rich aromatics of blueberry compote, cocoa nibs, smoked cedar plank, and crushed stone shine through in this classic Bordeaux blend of the three prominent varieties. 62% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc and 16% Cabernet Sauvignon, all from the Red Mountain estate planted on the lower flanks of the upper ridge. All aged in primarily new French oak for 22 months. The palate shows spicy black plums and a velveteen mouthful with ample tannins framing black pepper, crushed black stone and dark chocolate. The acidity offers a slight brightness to the finish.
