This wine is classic and savoury, and the herbaceous character comes to the fore. Stoneridge sits at 800ft on very rocky soils and can produce brilliant wines. There is savoury intensity; it has a tremendous basaltic character on the Tempranillo and shows an old-world depth and richness that remains floral and elegant. There's depth and dark chocolate with mint, rich notes of arabica beans, and Chinese five spice.
