Rich and opulent nose, mineral intensity of crushed basalt, pencil shavings, hot stone and anise mingle with an effusively fragrant note of wild desert sage and eucalyptus. A core of black plums and intense baking chocolate is framed with serious grippy tannins. Sappy blackberry, rose hips and smoky umami finish the palate, complete with an abiding sense of elegance. A wine made to age. The Liminal label is a WeatherEye-only project from the Avennia team. The Block 47 Cabernet is sourced from a vineyard on the lower flanks of the WeatherEye, still higher than nearly the rest of the AVA.
