Amanda Yallop is a judge at the 2018 Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA)

Amanda Yallop is Head Sommelier at Quay, Sydney, where she manages the cellaring programme as well as the largest single venue wine team in Australia.
Amanda’s passion for her craft is evident in Quay’s highly respected and awarded wine list; she joined the Quay team in 2006 and has been in her current role since 2011.
A budding wine judge and a proud Len Evans Scholar – arguably one of the best and most exclusive wine schools in the world – where once a year only 12 students worldwide are invited to attend.
Amanda has attended the Advanced Wine Assessment Course at the Australian Wine Research Institute and completed her Wine and Spirit Education Trust Diploma at the Sydney Wine Academy; she has her sights set on completing the prestigious Master of Wine exam.
A Dame Chevalier for both La Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin (Burgundy) & Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne, Amanda is a long-term committee member for Sommelier’s Australia and a principal Sommelier for Burgundy Celebration.
Amanda was awarded the 2016 Gault & Millau Australian Sommelier of the Year.
