Sussex Sparkler takes media by storm

The announcement of RidgeView's historic win at the DWWA last week had regional, national and even international journalists queing up to interview the winning winemakers.

The Roberts family from Sussex found themselves the subjects of newspieces on both the BBC’s South Today programme and BBC South East, with a subsequent interview running throught the day on BBC Radio Sussex.

National news coverage included an indepth feature on the Telegraph’s website as well as news pieces in the Mirror, Sun and Metro newspapers. Sky, Yahoo and Bloomberg also picked up on the story and helped to spread the news as far afield as the Wall Street Journal.

Online news ensured the English win was reported in Germany, South Africa, New Zealand and the USA.
