A very great year throughout the Rhone; Chateauneuf especially rich and powerful

Best Appellations
A very great year throughout the Rhône. Côte Rotie was also superb, but many are now tiring. Rich powerful wines emerged from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and the best are still drinking well. (Condrieu made very impressive, aromatic wines.)
Best Producers
Jaboulet’s Hermitage La Chapelle is the much sought-after wine of the vintage.
