Red Rhone 2004: Drink now
Well-balanced wines with good purity of fruit in Southern Rhône. Less consistency from Northern Rhône, ranging from fresh and rounded to crisp and green. For early drinking.

Weather Conditions
The weather conditions for the region were textbook favourable—a very warm, mild spring and summer allowing grapes to flower, set and start ripening well. Then, rain in August refreshed the vines and a long cool dry autumn followed, allowing ripeness to carry on at a slow pace and colour and flavour compounds to develop well and little rot to materialise.
Best Appellations
Very good quality across the board – but especially Saint-Joseph, Beaumes-de-Venise, Cornas, Châteauneuf, Côtes du Rhônes-Villages, Vinsobres
Best Producers
Domaine Coursodon, Alain Graillot
