International Wine and Food Society

Founded in 1933, and with about 140 branches in 30 countries, the IWFS is described by The Oxford Companion to Wine as "The oldest and most cosmopolitan of the gastronomic societies for consumers rather than professionals... Now much imitated."

At the heart of the Society are the frequent activities organized by its branches, of which there are three in London alone. The IWFS holds festivals every year in different parts of the world.
