The Society's, Mendoza Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina, 2019

Made for the Society by Catena, this is a blend of wines from the cool-climate regions of Altamira, Gualtallary and Eugenio Bustos, aged in barrel for 14 months. The dark fruit on the nose is fairly restrained, mingling with clove oak and subtle florality. Take a sip though and the fruit comes to the fore, juicy and dark plums, framed by grainy tannins. Good value drinking.
