Sourced from vineyards in McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek, this is part of the line-up in the Society's Blind Spot range, made from small parcels of high-quality grapes that would usually end up in large-scale blends. Touriga Nacional is more famously found in the Douro, used to make Port and increasingly these days table wines. Here it has a lower alcohol and lighter oaking than many Douro examples, but it still has a good weight of fleshy plum fruit, a velvety mouthfeel and good freshness. Would work well with robustly flavoured meat dishes.
