I regularly recommend this entry-level offering from Viognier specialists Yalumba. It's been on the Waitrose shelves for a long time, and reliably and consistently offers good value, from vintage to vintage – even more so when it's on offer, which it is from time to time. It's unoaked, fermented on wild yeasts, and lees aged for a few months before bottling. You'll find leafy, firm peach fruit flavours, some honeysuckle florality and a slight salty edge to it. A good everyday option that would pair well with spicier cuisine.
