Margaret River Cabernet is a classic New World style, but can be pricey. This well-priced example is named after a shipwreck, sunk in the late 1800s off the coast of the southern tip of the Margaret River region. It's a medium-bodied wine, with attractive forest fruit, cassis and tobacco leaf character, a hint of pepper, and a cedary note from the 11 months in oak. A crowd pleaser, for sure.
