Good everyday claret, made by a subsidiary of AXA Millésimes, with some input from the technical director of the Pauillac second growth, Château Pichon Baron. It's a Bordeaux Supérieur, a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. The warm 2018 vintage has given a lovely black cherry jam fragrance, and there's a subtle spiciness from the six months' ageing in oak. It's well made and harmonious, and good value.
