Blanc de noirs is the Champagne style to turn to if you're looking for a red-fruited rather than  green apple profile. Made from 100% Pinot Noir, this is made in an unusual way for Champagne, with reserve wines drawn from two solera systems dating back to 1995 and 2002. It's rich in style with mellow red berry fruits, ripe red apple and some brioche toastiness. Tart acidity keeps it fresh. Dosage: 7.8g/L. Mix-six price: £27.99.
