Domaine Rolet, Arbois Vin Jaune, Jura, France, 2010

(at the Vin de Voile Symposium, Jura, 02 Feb 2018)
Drinking Window: 2018 - 2027
This is a bright mid-gold in colour, with clean apple, lemon, quince and forest mushroom scents, and a creamy undertow. On the palate it is intense and vivid, with more acid drive and thrust to it than many Arbois peers. That insistently taut, tight, apple-lemon fruit suggests this would be better after a two or three year wait, with plenty of ageing potential.
