Domaine Les Yeuses, Les Epices Syrah, Pays d'Oc, Languedoc-Roussillon, France 2020

Ripe, warm and earthy, this Syrah is made from vines grown close to the Mediterranean, lending freshness and harmony. There are savoury notes of charred meat, bacon and pepper, allied to red and black fruits and some spice from time in oak. Decent value midweek red that would pair well with grilled meats or stews.
