New to Tesco, this is a fairly simple wine, but it's incredible value, and would be an excellent party option. It's a Bordeaux blend (mainly Merlot, with Cabernets Sauvignon and Franc), but from the neighbouring Bergerac region, made by one of the largest producers in southwest France. It's a blend of vintages, vinified in stainless steel, which helps to keep the price down. It's sweetly fruited, fresh, brambly forest fruits, charming, approachable and uncomplicated, and made for drinking in its youth. A steal at the price.
