What a treat this is, made from Riesling grapes grown on dark slate soils on the steep banks of the Rhine river. The 60g/l residual sugar barely registers, so steely is the acidity, providing a backbone to the fleshy peach stone fruit and subtle kerosene evolution. Great harmony, elegance and depth, and with a long life ahead.
