Aglianico can be a bit of a monster in the glass, but this fairly simple example is very approachable and offers good value for money. It ages for 12 months, partly in a mix of stainless steel and French oak barriques, and has at least four months bottle age before release. From the 2017 vintage, this has a little development to add interest, and lots of ripe black fruit. A bit of a crowd pleaser this would make great everyday drinking.
