Earthy and vanillary, the red wine from Southern Italy was aged in French oak for 8-10 months. Dark plums and prunes are prominent on both the nose and the palate, seasoned by sweet spices and wood. Tannins are fine-grained, followed by a heart-warming finish of cherry liqueur.
