From a massal selection of old vines planted in the typical 'ponca' soil of the area, this wine's name recalls Livio's habit of smoking a cigar while looking up at the sky to try and understand the weather. It spent a few hours on the skins, and towards the end of fermentation was racked into terracotta vessels, where malolactic fermentation and subsequent maturation occurred. Bright and creamy with subtly spiced lemon and apple, a juicy peach undertow and very fresh acidity, Sigar displays nice weight and balance, with an invigorating pithy element to finish.
