Made by the respected Araldica co-op, this food-friendly white uses Cortese grapes from the La Battistina vineyard, which is considered one of the best sites in Gavi. The wine is 80% lees aged in steel for four months, with 20% aged in oak. This gives it a decent weight, despite the modest alcohol and crisp, vibrant character. It's herby and fruit forward, with notes of orchard fruit. Uncomplicated and good value, available from mid-May.
