Nardo is the result of the meticulous work of Fabio Chiarelotto, who identified the oldest vines of the estate that make up the blend: Sangiovese, Black Malvasia, Montepulciano and Alicante. After a period of maceration, the free-run juice ages in French tonneaux for 10 months and then in bottle for 12 months. It's a powerful wine with a deep, ruby colour and pronounced bouquet of black cherry and scents of chocolate with a hint of black pepper. The fragrant, juicy palate has present acidity and velvety tannins, with a long finish displaying equilibrium and finesse. A charming wine. Only 3,400 bottles produced.
